Hello,

            I want to share with you about an awesome opportunity God has placed in my path.  He has opened the door for me to go to ________, _______ (SE Asia) this November with Impact Sports, based in Spartanburg , SC (Impactsportsonline.org).  The Mission and Vision of Impact Sports are as follows:

Mission : Our mission is to use sports as a vehicle to take the Gospel to places it has never been, is not allowed, or the delivery of it has previously been ineffective.

Vision: Our Vision is to see people come to know Christ as their personal Savior both locally and around the world, and to see Christians grow in their walk with the Lord by equipping them to share their faith through sports.

            My relationship with Jesus started back when I was 12 years old and on a glorifying fishing trip with my brother & dad, when I was thrown from and run over by the boat resulting in my right leg being broken and my left foot sliced open by the boat propeller. I latter realized that if I had died in that black backwoods water of south Georgia, I would have spent eternity in darkness in the lake of fire. (link for more detail here) From that day forward, my Lord has provided the growth opportunities up to and including a passion for fishing and using my salvation testimony during Sunday school lessons.

 I will be a part of a team of golfers and fishermen going to this city to use these forms of recreation as a way to share the Gospel.  There is little to no Gospel presence in this area.  The missionary with whom we will be working has explained it this way.  We will be using golf and fishing as a way to build relationships and find “men of peace” (Luke 10:5-8).  This will be ground-breaking work, as there is no real evangelistic effort in this region.  In fact, the missionary has been there himself for less than a year!  God has given me a passion for the lost and fishing, and this is the perfect opportunity for those to come together.  To think that I might be able to use fishing as a tool to tell someone about Jesus, when they have never even heard His name is simply mind-boggling!

            I would like to ask you to support this ministry, first of all, through prayer.  Without that, this trip is not worth the time, money or effort.  Perhaps also you could support us financially.  The entire trip will cost $2500.  This seems like a huge obstacle, but I know nothing is impossible for my Jesus!  Please pray what the Lord would have you do.  If the Lord leads you to contribute, please send the gift directly to the following address:
